Regulations for Cricket Nets
 

 
 

1

General conditions of use    
 

1.1

There is to be NO spiked footwear used in the Nets at any time.    
 

1.2

No kit is to be taken into the fenced area. All batsmen should change on the tarmac area immediately outside the nets.

   
 

1.3

Members are asked to wear white tops whenever possible

   
 

1.4

The Nets are for the sole use of fully paid up members of Winchmore Hill Cricket and parties agreed by the WHCC Committee.

   
 

1.5

The Groundsman and Cricket Committee may close the nets at any time

   
 

2

Management of Nets    
 

2.1

The main nets facility manager is Andy Varley    
 

2.2

The Nets will be locked by padlock.

   
 

2.3

There will be a finite number of keyholders, who will have the ultimate responsibility for managing the nets and ensuring they are opened and locked at appropriate times.

   
 

2.4

The Keyholders will be decided by the nets manager and cricket chairman alone.

   
 

2.5

As at date of these regulations, the Keyholders will be;

2.6

The Groundsman and Cricket Committee may close the nets at any time

   
 

2.7

All WHCC members are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the nets facility.

Usage of the Nets (During Match Days)

   
 

3.1

The Nets are for the sole use of fully paid up members of Winchmore Hill Cricket Section and parties agreed by the WHCC Committee. The only exception to this is visiting teams, who can use the nets in the hour leading up to the commencement of play.

   
 

3.2

Players will have priority from 10.00am to 2.00pm on match-days. All other parties wishing to use the nets should make way if players wish to practice. Colts managers should arrange practices in full knowledge of this ruling.

   
 

3.3

A WHCC official will lock the nets when play starts. finishes.

   
 

3.3.1

The nets may only be re-opened during the hours of play by a key holder or colts coach. Whoever uses the nets during hours of play is totally responsible for their security and management.

   
 

3.3.2

The nets must NEVER be left unattended or unlocked

Usage of the Nets (During Non Match-Days)

   
 

4.1

Mondays – Priority use of the WHCC Colts Section

   
 

4.2

Tuesdays – Priority use of the WHCC Colts Section

   
 

4.3

Wednesdays – Priority use of the WHCC Senior Cricket Section

   
 

4.4

Thursdays – Priority use of the WHCC Under-17s

   
 

4.5

Nets will be closed October-February each year
