Winchmore Hill Tennis Club

What sets Winchmore Hill Tennis Club apart more than anything else is a friendly and sociable atmosphere where adults and children of all ages and playing standards can turn up and play just about whenever they choose. It's a club where you will not find the cliques and snobbishness sadly often associated with tennis.

The ethos of the club is that tennis should be played in a relaxed, friendly environment - hence our motto 'Tennis for All'. It doesn’t get much better than playing a set or few on lawn courts with friends on a balmy summer evening! The sound of leather on willow from a match on the cricket pitch, with the prospect of a drink in the club house afterwards…. It just gets even better.

We have four all weather courts and five excellent grass courts. There's two professional coaches for those who want to take up tennis or who would simply like to improve their game, plus ample opportunities to play social tennis, tournament tennis or perhaps even team tennis within one of our many ladies, men's or junior teams. It's entirely up to you!

The club has an active junior section and fields both a boys' and girls' team in the Middlesex League.

There are ladies teams and men's teams competing in various divisions of the Middlesex League for both the summer and winter competitions. The club operates internal 'ladders' in order to encourage match play plus an annual club championship with the finals day in July.

The tennis club is run by its own management committee, all volunteers, which is elected during an Annual General Meeting.
