Tennis for All – Friendly and Inclusive

At Winchmore Hill Tennis Club, we are proud of our three excellent grass courts and four all-weather courts (three with floodlights), offering opportunities to play year-round.

We provide a friendly and sociable atmosphere, where adults and children of all ages and playing standards can turn up and enjoy a game just about whenever they choose.

Our ethos is simple: tennis should be played in a relaxed, welcoming environment. There's nothing quite like playing a few sets with friends on the grass courts on a balmy summer evening, hearing the sounds of cricket from the neighbouring pitch, and then enjoying a drink in the clubhouse afterwards.

We offer:

  • Three grass courts and four all-weather courts (three with floodlights)
  • Two professional coaches available for individual and group lessons
  • Plenty of opportunities for social tennis, tournaments, and team matches

The club has an active junior section, with boys' and girls' teams competing in the Middlesex League.

For adults, we field women's, men's, and mixed teams in the Middlesex League across various divisions, in both summer and winter competitions.

To encourage regular match play, we run:

  • Social Tennis (Saturday afternoons, Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings in summer)
  • Team training (Monday evenings men, Wednesday evenings women)
  • An annual Club Championship, with Finals Day in September

At Winchmore Hill Tennis Club, safeguarding and inclusivity are top priorities. We have up-to-date policies in place – these can be accessed [here] viewed in the tennis hut and on the noticeboard.

The tennis club is managed by a dedicated volunteer committee, elected annually at the AGM, ensuring the club continues to be run by and for its members.
